The T.T.-E DIGT machine is an electro-pneumatic bench-top cutting machine that works both as a compact size ribbon cutter and a blanking machine, suitable also to be installed in small places such as artisan workshops.  The single-phase 230V power supply and the low compressed air consumption contribute even more to an extremely easy installation.

Its application sectors are many: textile packaging, leather goods, footwear and more, basically everywhere it is necessary to cut in length materials such as elastic bands, ribbons, lace, cords, zippers, velcro, strings, shoulder belts, strips, and belts.

Depending on the settings, the machine can cut as follows:

  • when cold, with scissor blades made of hardened steel and self-sharpening with a maximum cutting width of 120 mm
  • when hot, with a blade heated by a low-voltage electrical resistor, the cut is made by thermo-fusion (suitable only for synthetic materials) with a cutting width of 110 mm and can be equipped with an automatic device for inclined cutting
  • with both cutting units that can be used separately and selected directly from the electronic touch screen programming device.

The T.T.-E DIGT machine is the evolution of previous shearing machines manufactured by our company from 1969 to date.  It can meet the most common processing needs and is often easily adaptable to special needs through direct cooperation with the user.

The machine comes with the following provided as factory-default:

  • dragging system on both rollers for greater force and precision in transportation of material
  • roll holders – reel holders
  • large stepper motor for dragging of material
  • acoustic alarm to stop the machine when the pre-selected number of pieces is reached
  • acoustic alarm to stop the machine in case of lack of material
  • acoustic alarm device to stop the machine in case of electrical resistor or temperature probe fault
  • acoustic alarm to stop the machine in case of unwinder fault (if applicable)
  • protection door for the dragging and cutting unit with safety micro-switch that allows easy access to the parts for maintenance and cleaning with no live voltage hazard
  • fume extractor (for hot-cutting configurations)
  • Preset for connecting the unwinder
  • temperature control system with temperature probe controlled directly through the programming device
  • temperature management system in case of thermal probe fault. This allows continued operation while waiting for the necessary spare parts to arrive
  • Digital touch screen programming device for all the machine functions such as:
  • length of the piece to be cut
  • pre-selection of the number of pieces to be cut
  • visualization of the pieces manufactured
  • counting of multiple pieces cut at the same time,
  • cut type selection
  • blade temperature in Celsius degrees

  • degrees of blade inclination in both directions (if an inclined cutting device is installed)
  • exclusion of material detection: useful for use with very thin materials

All versions of the machine, even after sale, require the installation of:

  • a base in painted sheet metal suitably shaped so as boxes or containers can be placed under the output chute to collect the material cut
  • automatic unwinder: essential for cutting elastic materials or heavy reels. It is easy to be assembled on the support between the reel holder and the machine. Its wiring to the machine is performed by using a standard connector on all the machine versions

to be ordered together with the machine:

  • inclined cutting device: rotation of the blade by using a stepper motor controlled by the machine programming device. This makes it possible to perform cuts with different inclinations in sequence (maximum 45° for each side) to make tips, square tips, etc. Important: the hot cutting width is reduced according to the blade inclination
  • very useful self-centering guides to be used in combination with the inclined cutting device
  • feeding material device without machine stop: useful to obtain pieces from parts of material such as loops for belts
  • optical device for detecting writings and notches on the material
  • additional stamping head
  • device for removing static electricity from the material
